Types of hernia repair surgery?

A hernia occurs when an organ or internal tissue breaks through a hole in the muscles. Hernia repair surgery involves returning the displaced tissues to their proper position. There are a few different types of hernia which have an impact on how these hernias are treated. These are:
Reducible hernia: When the hernia can be pushed back into the opening it came through.
Irreducible or incarcerated hernia: When the organ or abdominal tissues have filled the hernia sac, and it cannot be pushed back through the hole it came through.
Strangulated hernia: When part of an organ or tissue becomes stuck inside the hernia with its blood supply often cut off.
The two types of hernia repair surgery are:
Herniorrhaphy
This method involves making a long incision directly over the hernia and then using surgical tools to open the cut enough to access it. The surgeon stitches the sides of the muscle opening or hole through which the hernia protruded. Once the wound has been sterilized, it is stitched shut.
Hernioplasty
In hernioplasty, instead of stitching the muscle opening shut, the surgeon covers it with a flat, sterile mesh, usually made of flexible plastics. The surgeon makes small cuts around the hole in the shape of the mesh and then stitches the patch into the healthy, intact surrounding tissues.

What is Anal Fistula? It’s Treatment & Recovery from Surgery

What Is An Anal Fistula? This a channel extending from the anal canal (usually) to the skin in the area surrounding the anal verge.  It is frequently a result of the formation of an anal gland infection which may manifest as an abscess. What Is The  Treatment For Anal Fistula ? Surgery is almost always needed as only very few fistulas heal by themselves.  The procedure of choice depends on: Type of Fistula Presence/ absence of infection/large abscess. In majority of cases a fistulotomy procedure alone suffice.  In this the tract is layed open along its entire length, and the wound so created is allowed to heal by scar tissue formation.  Occasionally in the case of a complex fistula a two stage procedure is warranted to achieve full healing without complications. Recovery From Surgery Can be done as a day procedure operation. Occasionally depending on the type of fistula and therefore selection of surgery, a few days...

Exploring Cholecystectomy Surgery: Laparoscopic Surgeons in India

Understanding Cholecystectomy Surgery Cholecystectomy  is the medical term for the surgical removal of the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a small organ located beneath the liver that stores bile, a digestive fluid produced by the liver. When gallstones or other conditions cause pain, inflammation, or complications, removal of the gallbladder through cholecystectomy may be recommended. The Evolution to Laparoscopic Surgery Traditionally, cholecystectomy was performed using open surgery, which required a larger incision and longer recovery times. However, with advancements in medical technology,  laparoscopic cholecystectomy  has become the preferred approach in many cases. This technique involves making several small incisions through which a tiny camera and surgical instruments are inserted. The surgeon views the procedure on a monitor and performs the surgery with greater precision and minimal tissue damage. Benefits of Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy Faster Recover...
